It is with a very heavy heart and great sadness I must compose this. Roger has passed from this life to the next on December 17, 2020 after a battle with brain cancer. He was born on August 1, 1957 in Bristol, CT. He is the son of the late Richard and Etta (Glick) Martin. Roger attended Bristol Central High and Tunxis Community College. He was employed by Metallics for over 25 years in various accounting positions. He enjoyed camping on the Cape Cod shore just about any time of the year. He loved long drives to who knows where and enjoyed staying at our friend Jacki's home in Truro, Ma. He is survived by his sisters Merry Wood (Donald), Debra Doak, Sandra Williams (Harry), and Susan Marshall, all of Bristol. Several nieces and nephews, all too many to mention. Several great nieces and nephews, throughout Bristol to upper Maine, which he adored and cherished so deeply. Lastly John DiLorenzo of Bristol. They were like family to each other, they were inseparable. The pain of not having him around is unbearable. Roger was predeceased by his brothers Steven and Robert, and his dog Snuggles, who was cherished and spoiled. Graveside services will be held at a later date in the spring, an announcement will be made. Donations can be made to the Animal Rescue Foundation in Terryville, CT, or food donations to a local pantry. DuPont Funeral Home in Bristol is in charge of the arrangements.
