Roger Ray Koontz, age 57 of Solsberry passed away at his residence Sunday morning, May 22, 2022. Hew was born June 24, 1964 in Bloomington to Howard Koontz and Glenda Faye Fritch Koontz.
Roger was a 1982 graduate of Bloomington North High School, retired from General Electric then ended his professional career with APW Speedway.
He was an avid outdoorsman thoroughly enjoying his fishing and motorcycle riding.
Roger leaves behind his wife Melody Ann Halstead Koontz, brothers Tracy Koontz and wife Judy and Michael Koontz and wife Kim; mother Glenda Faye Koontz; nieces Brittany Hill and Chris, Chrissy Armes and David; nephews Justin Koontz and Brette, and Dakota Koontz. Also surviving is his great niece Pennington Koontz.
He was predeceased by his father Howard Koontz.
Memorial services for Roger will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2:00PM at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 12:00PM Noon that day until the time of the service at 2:00PM.
