Roger Darwin Lawson Sr, 73, of Cassopolis, MI, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 10, 1949 in Niles, MI to the late Geraldine and Darwin Lawson. On October 4, 1965, Roger married Barbara Evans in Cassopolis, MI. Roger was a bus driver for Heritage Southwest ISD. Roger is survived by his sons, Roger (Jeannie) Lawson Jr, Robbie (Tina) Lawson, Ryan (Stephany) Lawson; sister, Yvonne (John) White; grandchildren, Kayla (Josh) Hester, Jenna (Erik) Dudley, Andrew Lawson, Jaylin (Savannah) Lawson, Logan Lawson, Joshua (Sydnie) Lawson; great-grandchildren, Landon Hester, Khloe Hester, Isabella Hester, Noah Hester, Jordyn Dudley, Lennox Lawson, Eli Dudley, Lilah Lawson, and one on the way; as well as many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; parents, Geraldine and Darwin; brothers, Elger Haithcox, Jepthia Haithcox, Dennis Lawson; and sisters, Earnestine Pompey, Imogene Wares, and Judith Ann Williams. Visitation for Roger will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Church of Cassopolis, 520 Pearl St., Cassopolis, MI 49031. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm following the visitation on Friday, July 22, 2022. Memorial donations may be made to Caring Circle Hospice, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.
