Roger M. Couture, 71, beloved husband of the late Dorothy "Dee Jay" (VanAlstyne) Couture, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at MidState Medical Center. Born on February 17, 1950, he was the son of the late Paul and Alice (Rodrigue) Couture.
A lifelong resident of Meriden, Roger was a graduate of Wilcox Technical High School, Class of 1969. He proudly served in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam War. Roger enjoyed reading, golfing and baseball. A loving father, grandfather and brother, he will be greatly missed.
Mr. Couture is survived by his children: Allison Trejo of Ala, Bryan Couture and his wife Melissa of SC, Steven Couture and his wife Jennifer of Plantsville: eight grandchildren: Matthew, Kody, Willard, Adeline, Isabel, Malerie, Maximus, Zander; four brothers: Paul, Victor, Richard and Marcel Pierre Couture and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Norman Couture.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, May 3rd from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. Military honors will be presented at 6:00 p.m. Please follow CDC guidelines, wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
