Rogelio Tijerina Castillo, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 69. Rogelio was born on October 5, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Benito Castillo, and Petra Castillo. Rogelio is preceded in death b his parents and two brothers, Benito Castillo Jr. and Carlos Castillo. He is survived by his wife Rosita Castillo; children, Liz Quintanilla, Isabel Castillo, Petra Castillo and Rogelio Castillo Jr.; numerous grandkids and great grandkids; siblings, Victoria Gomez, Lupe Gonzales, Rosie Jaramillo, Norma Gomez, Amelia Weddel, Celia Castillo, Margaret Rodriguez, Rosario Orozco, Armando Castillo, Blas Castillo and Ruben Castillo and numerous nieces and nephews. Rogelio severed his country proudly in the Army National Guard for 12 years. He retired from the City of San Antonio after 12 years. He enjoyed watching in his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys play, going to the flea market, dancing and hanging out with his family and friends. Pallbearers; Ben Jaramillo, Jason Hernandez, Rudy Rodriguez, John Castillo, Derrick Castillo and Sam Rodriguez.Services will be held at Palm Height Mortuary Monday, July 25, 2022; visitation from 8am – 10am with a Chapel Service to begin at 10am and a Graveside to follow at 12pm at Comal Cemetery in New Braunfels, Texas.
