Rodney Charles Womack, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on April 27 after struggling with various health issues in the past year. He was born July 2, 1940 in McAllen TX to R.C. Womack and Ruth Leathers Womack. He was a lifelong resident of McAllen Texas and a graduate of McAllen High School. Professionally he worked in real estate development with his wife, Sandra.
Rodney was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and had many lifelong friends. He will be missed by all that knew him, and remembered as quite a "character". He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Sandra (2022), and his brother D. P. Womack (1985).
He is survived by his only son Rodney III (Penny), his grandchildren, Joshua Womack, and Jordan Kirkpatrick (Kelsey), brother John Womack (Georgiann), nieces, Ashley Womack and Chelsea Womack, nephew Johnathan Womack, sister in law Candace McCoy (David), brother in law Jerry Davis (Alva), dearest friend Rainette Womack, and his beloved poodles.
There will be a celebration of life memorial at Church of the King, 7401 N. Ware Rd. McAllen TX, Saturday, May 13 at 10 a.m
