The funeral service for Rodney Wiedrich, 64, of Aberdeen, SD, formerly of Mina, SD, will be 11:00am, Monday, July 18, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Arlyn Rusche officiating. The family prefers casual attire. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rod died Thursday, July 14, at his home in Aberdeen after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00pm, Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home Fellowship Hall, directly east of the funeral home. Rodney Wiedrich was born November 2, 1957, to George and Wilma (Kisse) Wiedrich in Fargo, ND. He went to elementary and junior high school in Bismarck, ND, and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1976. He lived near Mandan, ND where he enjoyed ranching, motorcycles, cars, hunting and fishing. He married Ann Keller in 1984 and they had son Weston, November 20, 1984. Rod moved to Mina, SD in 1992. He married Rosina Hoffman August 20, 1994. Rod started his own construction business in 2002 and retired in 2020. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and Pinochle player. Grateful for having shared Rod's life are his wife: Rose Wiedrich, Aberdeen; mother, Wilma Wiedrich; son, Weston (Brooke) Wiedrich; grandchildren, Lily, Jaden, Elliot, Kinley, Garrett, Hadley, and Sawyer; brother, Keith (Lucy) Wiedrich; brother-in-law Jerome (Romona Cole) Hoffman; and mother-in-law, Wilma Zimmerman. Preceding Rod in death is his father, George Wiedrich.
