Rodney "Rod" Allen Sell

Celebration of life gathering for Rodney "Rod" Allen Sell, age 85, husband of Carol Anne McKinney Sell will be from 3:00-5:00pm Saturday, October 18, 2025, at LeCompte Johnson Taylor. He died Saturday, October 11, 2025, at his home in Frankfort, KY. Rod, an engineer by trade, was also a pilot, a handyman, a builder, a brother, a loving father and grandfather. He loved the challenge of a project. He was known as a "fixer" of many things and shared his knowledge with those around him.

Born May 13, 1940, in Oberlin, OH, he was the son of the late Milton T. Sell and Elva Stanfield Sell. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Anne, three sons: Ryan (Laura) Sell, Trevor (Brenda Lynn) Sell, Jason Sell, and one daughter Cherrine (Chuck) Coulter.

Rodney is survived by a brother, William "Bill" Sell and sister-in-laws: Karen Althaus, Mary Beth Lyons, Kevinie Click, and Kathleen Thomas. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Althaus and James "Jim" Althaus.

Rod is also survived by his grandchildren, Trent (Kamri) Noel, Gavin (Katie) Noel, Sarah (Evan) Russell, Kiahna (Evan) Morris, Devin Sell and her fianc? Ryan Long, Rob (Alison) Sell, Sydney Sell, Carson Coulter, John A (Megan) Coulter and many loved nieces and nephews. Six great grandchildren, Cooper Sell, Carter Morris, Ezra Noel, Bennett Noel, Charley and Lyndy Coulter.
