Rodney Bruce Krohn was born to Werner and Margaret Krohn on April 20, 1954 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He passed away at his home surrounded by his family on November 4, 2021 in Parma, Idaho after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Rod was raised on a farm in Eden, Idaho where he was the youngest of three siblings. His family attended the Trinity Lutheran Church and he graduated from Valley High School in 1972. He married Bobbi Krumm on November 27, 1976 and they spent the next 45 years walking hand in hand, living out their faith, love, and pouring time into their family, with their two sons and many grandchildren.
Rod will be missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of faith and love will live on through his family and those he loved. Rod was preceded in death by his grandparents Gerhart and Olga Krohn, his grandmother Mae Southwood (John), parents Werner and Margaret Krohn, his father-in-law Dale Krumm, nephew Scott Mabie, and his precious son Jarod Seth. He is survived by his beautiful bride Bobbi, his son Joshua (Tausha), his seven grandchildren Isaiah, Jarod, Noah, Leah, Nahome, Richard, and Tiana Krohn. His daughter-in-love Kerri Morris (Joshua), and their son Eli. His sister Terry Mabie (George), his brother Wes Krohn (Joyce). His mother-in-law Eileen Krumm, sister-in-law Rhonnie Hitesman (Mical), sister-in-law Becci Krumm, sister-in-law Melanie Hensman (Don), brother-in-law Michael Krumm (Jennifer) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved.
Rod's family is forever grateful to their family and close friends who have supported and encouraged Rod throughout this past eighteen months. We cannot thank enough the many doctors and nurses who helped him along his cancer journey. Countless people within the Deer Flat family and his life group who have been a vital part of lifting Rod up in prayer, love, and support. Most of all, Rod was so very grateful for his Savior who was his comfort and peace.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Deer Flat Church on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1pm, with a graveside service to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. In honor and memory of Rod's life, flowers may be sent to Alsip's funeral home in Nampa, or donations can be made to Parma High School Athletics in honor of the joy and love he had watching his grandchildren play ball.
