Roberta L. "Bert" Parker 81, died Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Our Lady of the Meadow Nursing Home in Richford, VT.
She was born March 4, 1940 in Massachusetts, the daughter of Madge (Hadley) Andrews. She attended school in White River Jct. and graduated in 1958 from Hartford High School.
On August 30, 1958 she married Paul Parker in Hartford, VT. They lived their whole married life in South Royalton, VT where they raised their three children. She worked many years as the bookkeeper for Paul's electrical business. In recent years she had lived with her daughter in Alburgh, VT before moving to Our Lady of the Meadow.
She enjoyed bowling, knitting, sewing, cooking and playing cribbage. She also loved to jitter bug and square dance with her husband, Paul. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother for several years. Her passion was going to yard sales and Bingo. She was exceptionally good at making baked beans and sour milk donuts.
She is survived by a daughter Cindy Ellis of Alburgh, VT; two sons, Tim Parker and his wife Shelly of South Royalton, VT and Greg Parker and his wife Bonnie of Graniteville, VT; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and a sister Laurel Pero of White River Jct., VT. She was predeceased by her husband Paul, October 25, 2007 and her mother, Madge Andrews.
A graveside funeral service will be held later this spring in the Branchview Cemetery in South Royalton, VT.
