Roberta R. Listenberger, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior October 27, 2022. She was born December 17, 1931 in Shelby County to Clarence S. and Emma (McDaniel) Bailey. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1949 and from Indiana Business College the following year.
Roberta married Lee O. Listenberger September 15,1951 and they were married 57 years.
Lee became an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene and Roberta was faithful to use her many talents by singing, playing piano and violin, as well as teaching and serving in other capacities.
Roberta retired December 1991 from Ft. Benjamin Harrison with 30 years employment.
She enjoyed traveling and wintering in Lakeland, FL
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Sandra K. (Thomas) Beaty and their
children Benjamin and Elizabeth, daughter, Sharla F. (George) Silbernagel and their children, Andrew, Josiah, Christina and Faith. Grandchildren; Leah Moulton, Stephan (Kari) Moulton and two great grandsons, James and Luke Moulton.
Roberta loved her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant brother, Bobby, a sister Katherine (Kate) Carter, and daughter, Sheila G.Moulton.
Visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Highway, Shelbyville, Indiana
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.
Interment will be at Center Cemetery in Shelby County.
Donations may be sent to Young Life, (Area CO71) or charity of choice.
