Robert "Bob" William Webb, age 73, of Flower Mound, Texas passed away January 28, 2021 at his home after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Bob was born June 13, 1947 to the late Cloise and Marjorie (Grove) Webb in Franklin County, Ohio and along with his three siblings, Carol Ann, Thomas "Tom" and Daryl, grew up on the family farm in Sunbury, Ohio.
In 1967, Bob married Beverly Aldridge, his classmate at Northridge High School and they were married 53 years up until his passing. They bought a home in Granville, OH and raised their two children, Lori and Randy there until moving to Flower Mound, Texas in 1987.
Bob's lifelong career in the dairy packaging business started with his first job at Borden's ice cream plant in Columbus, Ohio. Then, within the paper packaging industry, moved up to the role of service manager fairly quickly within his profession. In 2012, he retired from Evergreen Packaging after 32 years at the company.
In his younger years, you could always find the Webb brothers- Bob, Tom and Daryl, together on most Friday nights at the local drag strip, honing their mechanic and drag racing skills, each with their own race cars. Eventually, the NASCAR bug caught Bob and Beverly as they spent many years as spectators of the sport traveling in their motor home to various tracks around the country meeting up with fellow NASCAR enthusiast friends.
As a farm boy, Bob had spent a lot of time with his horse named "Pokey" and was involved in 4-H as well. His love for horses remained with him over the years and in retirement, Bob was able to share his equine passion with his granddaughter Kaylee, fondly nicknamed "Bopper". Bob, Beverly and Kaylee were members of the Lewisville Saddle Club, supporting Kaylee during multiple years of north Texas youth barrel racing.
Strong in his faith, Bob was a member of the Chinn's Chapel Methodist Church in Copper Canyon, TX and was actively involved in the congregation for over twenty years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Cloise and Marjorie Webb, and brother Thomas "Tom" Webb. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughter Lori Webb of Plantation, FL, son Randy Webb, granddaughter Kaylee Webb and grandson Cooper Webb of Flower Mound, Texas.
A memorial service will be held for Robert at a later date.
