Rob was born on March 26, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia to Ray and Betty Robinson. At Murphy High School, he was a multi-sport athlete selected to the Atlanta Baseball All-Star team. Rob also participated in student government serving as secretary and vice president. Following graduation, he attended Auburn University where he played baseball for two years and was again very active in student government. He served as secretary, vice-president, and finally president of the student body. As a brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon, Rob was also the secretary and then the president. Auburn honors include Omicron Delta Kappa, Delta Sigma Pi, and 1961 Spades which recognizes the ten most outstanding students each year. War Eagle! Rob worked at several local companies in advertising and printing. In 1982, he and his wife, Ginny, founded Graphic Solutions, Inc., a printing broker. Pivoting the business three years later, they established dba Printing Solutions. This full-service printing company prospered and was happily sold in 2000. During retirement, Rob thoroughly enjoyed playing golf with many friends at the Marietta Country Club, where he served on the board of directors, as secretary, and golf chairman. Married to the love of his life for over 44 years, Rob is survived by his wife Ginny Roche Robinson, children Gwen Robinson Hood (Steve), Paul Robinson (Kim), Jon Robinson, grandchildren Micah, Katie (Wesley), Anna, Matthew, Daniel, and Christine. Rob was a wonderful son, husband, father, boss, and friend. Words cannot describe how greatly he will be missed. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home on 3940 Macland Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127 is overseeing the arrangements. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 2:00-3:00 PM with the service immediately following. A live stream link to the memorial service will be available at www.mayeswarddobbins.com. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared for the family on the same site. Casual attire is appropriate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Special Olympics Georgia, or the charity of your choice.
