Robert Villanueva was born in Rancho Sespe, Fillmore, CA. on July 13, 1939. He graduated from Fillmore High School and attended Ventura College and USC. He started working in the engineering field for Ventura County before moving on to various engineering firms. Then he spent the next 25 years at Boyle Engineering Co. While there he also worked on a US Aide project in Egypt for 13 months. He then moved to the Long Beach Water Department where he worked for over 12 years. He retired in 2006.
He is survived by his wife Polly, daughters; Jeanette Villanueva, Bernadette Blixt , Roberta West, Rosemary Villanueva and Patricia Rogers, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces, and nephews. He loved fishing, photography, topography, hiking, camping, travelling, music and family activities. He died december 28, 2020 after a long bout with Alzheimers. His graveside service will be at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard on Monday, January 11th, 2021, at 1:30pm.
