Robert Titterington, long-time resident of Shoreline, WA died peacefully on July 2nd at Bethany Silverlake. He was 96 years old. Robert was born on January 4, 1925 on a farm outside El Reno, Oklahoma. He began his teaching career at Seattle Christian in 1952. In 1954 he was hired by Seattle Public Schools, where he remained until he retired in 1986. He taught both music and history, but history was his true passion. Robert served in the US Army from August 1943 until January 1946 - he was stationed in France where he was wounded and sent home to recover.
In his later years he spent many hours working with senior adults.
He is survived by his son Paul, daughter Kathy, and brother Clarence. His wife Eileen predeceased him. A memorial service will be held in Robert's honor on Friday, July 16th at 11AM at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Ave, Everett.
