Tefft, Robert J. "Ziggy" COLONIE Robert J. "Ziggy" Tefft, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. He was the son of the late Kenneth B. Tefft and Fredericka Baldwin Tefft of Cohoes. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who cruised 78,000 miles mostly in European waters. He was a retired federal employee since 1998. Ziggy enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling and helping others. He was also an avid golfer and pool player. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl A. Baitsholts (Ray) of Rensselaer, and Janice M. Tefft of Brunswick; and his son, Thomas R. Tefft (Roseann) of Pittstown. He was the grandfather of Tyler Jacob Baitsholts; and stepfather of Susan Formichelli of Rotterdam Junction and Christine Suriano (James) of Rotterdam. Ziggy is also survived by six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Patricia Bougeois; and uncle to several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 3, at the Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A calling hour will be held from 10- 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
