Robert J. Taylor, 79, died Friday 4/2/21 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield. Prior to his illness, Robert resided with his daughter Suzanne and Roger Hughs in Bernardston. He was born in Malone, NY on February 20, 1942, the son of Eugene and Margaret (Lamica) Taylor. Robert was a graduate of Franklin Academy, Malone, NY, class of 1961.
Robert enjoyed drawing classic cars and listening to old country music. Hank Williams was his favorite.
Among his survivors, Robert leaves eight children, Ronald Taylor of Syracuse, NY, Suzanne Hughs and her husband Roger of Bernardston, Lisa Holmes of Plains, PA, Marsha Taylor of Norcross, GA, Sheila Simonsen of Malone, NY, Robert Taylor of Rochester, NH, Thomas Taylor of Elbridge, NY and April Taylor Bascoe of Pittsboro, NC; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister, Linda Bimberg and her husband Marv of Plymouth, MN; a brother, Michael Taylor of Pasadena, MD; two step daughters Sally and her husband Norman Fish of Malone NY, and Patti Tuper of Malone NY; his wife, Shirley (Mayville) Taylor of NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Eugene and Margaret, Robert is predeceased by a brother, Charles Seymour and a sister, Carolyn Hirsch.
A private graveside service will take place in Malone, NY.
