Robert E. Strom, of Southington, CT, passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 91. He was born in Middletown, CT, on December 16, 1929 to Sigfrid and Mildred (Champion) Strom and was raised in Cromwell. He was the youngest and last surviving of 7 siblings. "Bob" was a skilled tool and die maker and owned the Strom-Anderson Company for 20 years along with his brother, the late Frank Strom. He had also been employed by Raymond Engineering/Kaman Aerospace in Middletown for many years. In the 1960's Robert was one of the founding members and an officer in the South Kensington Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Burlyne (McLaughlin) Strom of Southington, daughters Kathleen (Roger) Godin of Southington, Robin Strom of Cromwell, Candace Egri of Meriden, Pamela Strom of Meriden, and a son, Mike Fields of Southington, as well as 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill, CT.
