Robert Dale Slevin 86 of Greenwood, IN passed away Thursday April 7, 2022, at Greenwood Health and Living Community. He was born February 4, 1936, in Shelbyville, IN to Walter and Clarilla (Snapp) Slevin. He married Roberta R. (Adams) Slevin on March 20, 1954, in Franklin, IN, she preceded him in death on July 11, 1994. He later married Carolyn (Clark) Slevin on September 2, 1995, in Morgantown, IN, she preceded him in death on February 28, 2018.
He was a 1954 graduate of Boggstown High School in Boggstown, Shelby County, IN.
He had been a farmer with the Guy McFarland and Son's Family in Southport and Franklin for 45 years.
Robert was a member of Fairhaven Christian Church in Franklin, IN.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, slow pitch softball in his younger years and gardening.
Survivors include his children Holly Geddes (Les) of Brownsburg, IN, Laurel Jensen of Warsaw, IN, Bill Slevin (Paulette) of Greenwood, IN, Dennis Slevin (Dianna) of White Lake, MI and Darryl Slevin (Sue) of Bargersville, IN, a brother Gene Slevin (Mary) of Edinburgh, IN, a sister Donna Warner of Shelbyville, IN, stepsons Greg Johnson of Trafalgar, IN and Steve Johnson (Julia) of Martinsville, IN and twenty grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Roberta R. (Adams) Slevin, his second wife Carolyn (Clark) Slevin and a sister Dora Ballinger.
Pastor Brian Clark will conduct a service on Wednesday April 13, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com. Friends may call Tuesday April 12, 2022 from 4PM until 7PM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
