Robert Leon "Bob" Slane, 90, of Oblong, IL passed away Monday November 21, 2022, at his residence.
He was born in Yale, IL on April 19, 1932, to Cecil LeRoy and Audrie Faye (O'Dell) Slane. On October 22, 1955, he married Ellen Rebecca Spence, who preceded him in death on March 10, 2001.
He is survived by four daughters and son-in-law Martha Connely, Robinson, IL, Barbara and Robert Powers, Annapolis, IL, Victoria Slane, Robinson, IL and Patches Slane, Robinson, IL
Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday November 26, 2022, at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will be in Debord Cemetery in rural Yale, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials to the Dr. Otis Bowen Veteran Home 2669 Cold Spring Road Indianapolis, IN 46222.
