Robert "Bob" Perkins Scroggins, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center.
The service will be held at a later date at First Baptist Church of Griffin, Georgia.
Born in Dadeville, Alabama on September 5, 1936, Mr. Scroggins was the son of the late Wash Nelson Scroggins and the late Lois Irene Perkins Scroggins. Mr. Scroggins was a lifelong resident of Griffin, Georgia. He graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now known as Auburn University. He was retired from Dundee Mills of Griffin. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Griffin having taught Sunday school for over 50 years. He was actively involved with the Griffin Exchange Club, and served on the Board of Directors for the Griffin Salvation Army. Bob had a servant's heart and was devoted to his family, his church and his community.
Mr. Scroggins is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Patricia Wilson Scroggins; his two daughters, Claire (Jeff) Eisentrout of Rock Hill, Amy Patricia (Scott) Dowsett of Johns Creek, Georgia; his three granddaughters, Elizabeth Vining and Amy Caroline Eisentrout both of Rock Hill, Leah Claire Dowsett of Johns Creek, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Scroggins's name to Salvation Army, 725 Meriwether Street, Griffin, GA 30224.
