Robert "Bob" W. Schumaker, age 86, of Grand Rapids, was restored to perfect health in the arms of Jesus on Friday June 24, 2022. He joins his parents and 2 of his siblings, Joanne (Fred) Geary and Richard (Luie) Schumaker and a special sister-in -law Dawn Hemmes. Surviving are: his loving wife of almost 60 years, Mary Ann (Moore) Schumaker; his children Mark (Susie) Schumaker, Jill (Gerry) Rice and Rob (Kittie) Schumaker; his grandchildren Jeremy, Benjamin, Jacqueline, Robert, Hunter, Katerina, and Nikolas; 2 great grandchildren Brodie and Carson; his brother William J. Schumaker; his brother-in-law Dennis Hemmes; and countless nieces and nephews. Bob graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design and enjoyed a successful career in the graphic arts. He was inspired to start his own business, Schumaker Designers where he was recognized with many prestigious industry awards. Bob shared his love of fishing and hunting with kids and grandkids at the beloved family cottage on Blue Lake. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers who provided care and comfort throughout the years. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday July 8 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church. His family will receive visitors Thursday July 7 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd. NW, and one hour prior to the Mass at St. Judes.
