ROBERT SAXER, ROBERT SAXER, Robert Pierce Saxer, age 85, passed away on June 22, 2020. Robert was born on June 22, 1935 in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Raymond and Lillian (Ryan) Saxer. He served his country proudly as a member of the US Army where he was stationed in Korea after the war. Robert was a member of the very first graduating class of St. Edward High School in 1953 and went on to achieve his Doctorate degree at Cleveland Marshall Law School which he used to become a well-respected labor relations attorney. He married the love of his life, Rosemary (Rieke) and together they raised their family in St. Louis. Robert was a deeply faithful man who was an active member of Holy Martyrs Catholic Church for over 15 years. He loved gardening, classic movies, and was an avid reader of real-life Historical books but anyone who knew him knew how proud he was of his wonderful family.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary; two fine sons, Matt and Mark Saxer, and a lifetime of friends and colleagues. He is preceded in death by his son, David Saxer and his parents, Raymond and Lillian Saxer.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Weymouth Rd, Medina, OH 44256 on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory will be gratefully accepted to:
