Robert J. Novak of Campton, Kentucky, formerly of Summerhill, Pennsylvania, beloved husband of Betty Sebastian Novak, departed this life Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the age of 74 years. He was the son of the late Frank and Blanche Galanick Novak born in New York City, New York on January 5, 1946. He was a Retired Coal Miner. Bob was a Veteran of the United States Army a member of the 101st Air Borne Division having served during the Vietnam Era, a member of the Campton Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion Post 0179 and a member of the NRA and UMWA. Bob enjoyed his trips to Pennsylvania, spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He also looked forward to their visits to Kentucky, and traveling with his wife Betty. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Kentucky. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sebastian Novak of Campton, Kentucky; two daughters, Lori Garnes (Charles) of Monroeville, Pennsylvania and Lynn Lundberg of Summerhill, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Brandon Novak (Alexandra), Kalyn Lundberg, Sara Lundberg, and Laura Lundberg; one great-grandchild, Maverick Novak; and two special cousins, Ronald Gruse and Eileen Gruse. Private funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 19, 2020. Viewing will begin at 6:00 P.M. Friday, December 18, 2020 at Porter and Son Funeral Directors, 769 East Main St. Campton, Kentucky 41301. Arrangements are being entrusted to Porter and Son Funeral Directors, Campton, Kentucky.
