How do you know Robert? Please share your stories and photos, and help spread the word about this page!
Robert Paul Montes was born in Houston TX July 27th, 1949. He passed away on July 4th, 2021.
Bob was a longtime resident of the north Houston area. He loved interacting with people and living outside the box.
If you knew Bob personally, you'd know he treated life as one big stage. When he pulled you aside one-on-one, it was as if he was pulling you backstage and telling you the secrets of how to play your best part.
A challenger and a cheerleader.
Always proud of us, always loving us, always pushing us forward. Addicted to the marrow of life.
Bob's story deserves a novel, but I'll give you the outline:
define your own terms and live by them,
act with all of your guts,
love with all of your heart,
and wallow in it,
because it won't last forever.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. If you spoke to him, he'd be sure to tell you his deep love and admiration for his wife Kathy. He found great joy in his children and his lifelong friendships. Bob also found pride in working for himself for 40+ years. An indomitable spirit, who never failed to live deliberately.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Montes; sister, Carol Kubescka of Dayton, TX; his four children, Berkeley Austin Montes of Nashville, TN, Monica Yvette Montes of Houston, TX, Michael Bentley Montes of Los Angeles, CA, and Robert Sterling Montes of New York, NY, as well as all of his beloved nieces and nephews.
