Robert Allan Koch (June 10, 1942 - November 5, 2024)
Robert Allan Koch was born in Queens New York City to Lydia Romaine and Charles Koch. He graduated from Jamaica High School and joined the Air Force serving at the Altus Air Force Base near Altus OK.
In 1964 he married Laverna Joyce Lawson (deceased) in Childress, Texas where they raised three boys, Robert (Bobby Dean) Lawson (deceased), Gregory Koch (deceased) and Cody Koch (Roscommon, MI). After becoming a widower in 1986, he moved to Port Charlotte, Florida where he met and married Kathryn Bailey Thornberry in Roscommon, Michigan in 1988. He was proud to co-parent Ann Marie Ramos Thornberry (San Diego, CA) and Thomas John Thornberry (Port Charlotte, FL). They welcomed a daughter, Lisa Marie Koch Owens (Millbrook, Alabama).
Robert (Bob) was a man of God and especially enjoyed singing on the Praise and Worship team at Resurrection Life Center, Grayling, MI. He was also a fun loving, "out of the box" personality who made people laugh, especially little children. His favorite dress-up style was a cowboy hat, boots and belt buckle. He enjoyed golf when not travelling as a representative with Child and Fire Safety services.
Upon retiring to Port Charlotte, FL he served as an usher at New Life Family Worship Center in Punta Gorda and enjoyed playing cards with their community of friends at Mary Lu Homeowners Park in Port Charlotte.
Preceded in death by his sister Virginia (Paul) Stephenson, he leaves behind sister Susan (Coyle) O'Neal, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His desire was for all to know salvation through Jesus Christ and to dwell together in everlasting life.
