Robert Knoebel Sr., 68, went home to be with his Lord on January 27, 2021. Bob was born on January 2, 1953 in Erie, PA to the late Charles and Patricia Knoebel. He graduated from Brazosport High School in 1972. He later attended Lee College and Texas Tech where he earned certification in welding. Bob was an accomplished welder. He worked for Iron Workers #17 until he retired. He had a great love for his Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenmore. Bob cherished the time spent with his family and camping at The Lake Campground.
Bob was preceded in death by his stepmother, Dell Knoebel; children, Bobby Jo Knoebel, Walter Charles Knoebel, 2 unnamed sons; and 1 unnamed daughter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Laura (nee Kasner); children, Robert (Sarah) Knoebel Jr., Joshua Knoebel and Theresa Knoebel; step-children, Gregory (Breanna) Haas, Christopher Haas and Sarah Haas; grandchildren, Brynne Mayfield, Delyla Mayfield, Nicholas Knoebel and Luke Knoebel; siblings, David (Amy) Knoebel, Richard (Barb) Knoebel and Alea (Floyd) Simpson; in-laws, James O. Kasner and Junior and Cynthia (Kasner) Loughrie; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jenny, Timothy, and Jessica; and many extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Kenmore, 2330 East Ave., Akron, OH 44314 on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Joe Grimaldi officiating. Those who wish to watch the service live streamed may go to the First Baptist Church of Kenmore's Facebook page.
