Robert J. Howe 73 of Clifton, NJ died July 6, 2022. Born in Hackensack, NJ to Robert Howe & Annette (Carbonneau) he lived in Rutherford for 30 years before moving to Clifton 6 years ago.
Bob was the second generation of owners at Howe Hardware & Paint in Passaic, he worked there for over 50 years until his retirement in 2004.
Over the course of Bob’s life he spent many summers on the Delaware River and Mohican Lake, NY. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and taking his grandkids on golf cart rides.
Bob was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Rutherford and the Eldred Congregational Church in Eldred, NY. He was also a member of the Care Group of Ridgewood, a cancer support group.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years Carolyn (Vander Wiele) of Clifton, by two sons; Robert & wife Alyson of Clifton, and James & wife Jolanda of Grand Rapids, MI, by a daughter Kathryn Ma & husband Felix of Wayne, by six grandchildren; Sophie, Oscar, Cecilia, Robert, Ian, & Ava, and by a sister Audrey Massey & husband Raymond of Sherburne, NY.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday at the Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012. Viewing Sunday 4-7PM
In lieu of flowers donations to the Eldred Congregational Church, 8 Proctor Road, Eldred, NY 12732 would be appreciated.
