Starkson Family Anderson Chapel
Robert "Bob" J. Haugen, age 85 of Burnsville, born August 3, 1937 in Minneapolis to Anders and Ethel Haugen, passed away peacefully February 18, 2023.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy during Korea. He then joined the Minneapolis Fire Department, retiring as Captain after 37 years and working alongside his brother, Richard "Dick" Haugen.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors and so many other things in life, but most of all, his greatest joys were "his four girls," then later in life his grandchildren too.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Gavin Pugh.
Bob will be dearly missed by his wife, Clare Haugen; daughters, M'Lyse Haugen, Crisha Pugh, and Kiersta Haugen; grandchildren, Katalina and Caden Pugh; brothers, Earl (Jeannie) Haugen and Richard (Lori) Haugen; nieces and nephews and countless extended family and friends.
Funeral service, 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 25, 2023 with visitation one hour before at Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Bob will be laid to rest at Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur, MN at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minnesota Firefighters Museum.
