Robert James Hare, 66, died April 13, 2020, in Sebastian, FL, while visiting family. Born in Windber, Pa., Bob was raised and resided in Cairnbrook, Pa., where his family was long established. He retired from CONRAIL (Consolidated Rail Corporation) in 1997-98 with more than 20 years of service. He will forever be remembered as a doting father and a loving husband, son, brother, and friend - not to mention a very excited grandpa to-be. In our memory, he will continue whistling and humming, cracking jokes, making his signature applesauce pancakes, camping in his flannel by a fire, and wading in a river or relaxing on a boat as he fished from dawn to dusk. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Deborah Carol Hare, nee Greene, Cairnbrook, PA; daughter, Krystal Elaine Hare, son-in-law, Ari Zahavi, and unborn grandchild, Raleigh, NC; mother, Zona M. Findley Hare, Vero Beach, FL; brother, David Allen Hare, Mifflintown, PA; sister, Tamela E. Hare Ewing, Sebastian, FL. Preceded in death by his father, James Eli Hare. Per his wishes, Bob was cremated and will be protected by his daughter. No local service is planned at this time.
