Robert H. Opie, 76, of Seymour, TN, formerly of Branford, CT, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He retired from Algonquin Industries and was a Deacon at Christ Church Congregational in Branford, CT. After moving to TN, Bob became active in the American Legion serving on the Honor Guard, as a Trustee, President, one of the founding members of the Ham Radio Club, and past American Legion Rider. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Opie; son, Matthew (Tabitha) Opie, daughter, Courtney (Michael) Rosenberg; grandchildren, John, Tanner, and Candice Opie, and Max and Brynne Rosenberg; brother, John (Joanne) Opie; and sister, Ruth Krebs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #104, P.O. Box 4242, Sevierville, TN 37864. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 24th at Christ Congregational Church in Stony Creek, CT.
