
Robert William Dustin
Doctor, medical researcher, husband, father, undefined grandfather.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Cecil Rome Dustin and Ruth Elder. His older brother, and fellow doctor, Richard Elder Dustin. He was a star pupil in elementary and high school. He received his undergraduate and medical degree from Ohio State University. He enlisted in the Navy in May 1945 and was stationed in Washington, DC. for several years afterwards. In addition to several decades in private practice, he served as Program Director undefined Vice Chief of Obstetrics at William Beaumont Hospital in Birmingham, MI. He was also the Medical Education Director at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI from 1979 to 1991. He served on the Governor's Task Force regarding Infant Mortality and was the chairman of the committee for the Committee on Maternal and Perinatal Health for the Michigan State Medical Society. He was also a Clinical Associate Professor at Wayne State University. He kept his medical license for over 50 years and in that time delivered more that 7,000 children.
