McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park
Robert Aylsworth Diorio, 68, passed away on July 7, 2018 after fighting a courageous battle with liver cancer. His wife of 27 years, Dena, was by his side.
Robert was born on June 14, 1950 and raised in Manhasset, Long Island. He attended college at C.W. Post in Long Island and the University of Connecticut where he played football. Robert was President and CEO of ABL Electronics Supply Inc. for 25 years. He loved to travel and he and Dena traveled the world over their 27 year marriage. He loved all sports especially his beloved Carolina Panthers. He was an avid golfer and loved all his friends at Cedarwood Country Club.
Robert is survived by his wife Dena R. Diorio, his uncle and aunt Harvey and Sandy Levinson of Miami FL., cousins Debbie and Alex Bates and their children Ashley and Samantha of Melbourne FL., and cousins Karen and Sean Nutter and their children Austin and Ethan of Miami FL.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10:30am. Both will be held at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte.
