Robert Mathew Desrochers of Stoneham passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the age of 36.
Born on Thursday, September 4, 1986, in Boston, to Jane Trullo and Robert A. Desrochers, he was a loving husband to Amanda (Comita) and a devoted father to Lorenzo, whom he adored. Robert is survived by his sisters, Lily J. Blackledge and Emily B. Lavelle, and brother, Jake Desrochers and his beloved companion and best friend, Moe.
Rob was raised in Saugus, MA and graduated from Northeast Vocational School in Wakefield, MA where he studied plumbing and drafting. Upon graduation, he began working for his father’s construction company and later followed his lifelong passion training to become a licensed electrician.
Rob was also a talented and enthusiastic mechanic. He loved working on his Mustangs, especially body work after his many fender benders. He could put a car together as quickly as putting a Lego set together. He loved his motorcycles and dirt bikes. There wasn’t much Rob couldn’t do when he put his mind to it.
Rob also had a deep love of music, especially guitars, which he collected and was teaching his son, Lorenzo how to play. Rob was the kind of person who could make you laugh and could make friends with just about anyone. His personality and infectious laughter and smile could light up a room. His love of fashion and sneakers made him the best dressed and most stylish person you would meet and the envy of all his friends.
Rob was truly an amazing person whose loss will forever be felt by his family and friends who loved him dearly. His passing will leave a permanent hole in all our hearts and our love for him will last forever.
Robert is also survived by his grandparents Charlotte E. Williams (deceased) and Joseph Desrochers (deceased) and Rita and Rafael Martinez. He was the son-in-law of Andy and Judy Comita and the brother-in-law of Tony & Melissa Comita, Andrew Comita & David Comita.
