Robert F. Dendinger, 79, of Bellevue passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at The Bellevue Hospital. He was born March 25, 1943, in Reed Township, Ohio the son of Clarence and Loretta (Schank) Dendinger.
Robert attended Attica High School and enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He worked as a Millwright for Bellevue Manufacture and later for Delphi where he would retire. Robert was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and VFW Post 1238. He loved cars, especially his '64 Chevy, and watching NASCAR and attending the races at Summit Motorsports Park. At home he loved to be outside and could be seen sitting watching the birds when he wasn't make sure his lawn was perfectly manicured.
He married Josephine (Stallkamp) on October 5, 1963, at St. Joseph's Church in Monroeville; She survives along with their two children: Kevin (Taylor) Dendinger of Eau Claire, WI and Kathy (Brian) Kistler of Tiffin; grandchildren: Theo, Coralai, Ella, Evan, and Eden; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Bandit".
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Dendinger.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Additional calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until a funeral Mass begins at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope, 320 Stump Pike Road, Attica, Ohio 44807. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
