Funeral services for Robert Jack Dean, 98, of Oklahoma, formerly of Daingerfield will be held at 10 AM Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Daingerfield with Bro. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in Daingerfield Cemetery under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Mr. Dean was born on March 5, 1924 in Athens to Charlie and Elizabeth Dean. He passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 in an El Reno, OK nursing facility. Mr. Dean attended and graduated from Athens High School. He proudly served his country during World War II with the United States ARMY Air Force. He received his Masters degree from Texas A&M University. He began working for Gregg County as the county extension agent before becoming the Morris County extension agent where he worked for 33 years. He was a member of the Gideon's, started the Forestry Consultant Group in Northeast Texas, was a member of the Daingerfield Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist Church of Daingerfield. Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eugenia Gould Dean who he loved very, very much and was a good husband to and will be buried beside and join in heaven, as well as two sisters. He is survived his daughter, Sharon Mullaney of El Reno, OK; son, Charlie Dean of El Reno, OK; grandchildren, Walter Mullaney of Norman, OK, Jaclyn Mullaney-Sharp and husband Aaron of Kingston, OK, DeAnna Mullaney-Weaver and husband Alex of El Reno, OK, Richard Jack (R.J.) Mullaney of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Jack Sharp, Bowen Sharp, Reese Weaver, Dean Weaver, Griffin Mullaney and Reid Mullaney.
