Robert Joseph Daming 78 of Greenwood, IN passed away Wednesday March 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 2, 1943 in Rockport, Indiana to Victor H. and Margaret K. (Jones) Daming. He married Linda L. (Thompson) Daming on June 14, 1969 at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in French Lick, IN, she survives.
He was a graduate of Luce Township High School in Richland, IN and a 1965 graduate of Purdue University.
He had been a sales representative for Indiana Gas Company for over 20 years. He previously had been one of the original organizers of the Central-9 building trades program and prior to that the agriculture teacher at Paoli High School and Future Farmers of America advisor.
He was a charter member of Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening, trail riding, and spending time with his grandchildren and was the ultimate handy man, builder and carpenter.
Survivors include his wife Linda L. (Thompson) Daming of Greenwood, IN, daughters Rebecca J. Connor (Mike) of Winfred, South Dakota, Teresa Hogue (Chris) of Bargersville, IN and a son Joe H. Daming (Jenny) of Bargersville, IN, eight grandchildren Shalee Bradley (Kaleb), Austin Daming, Benjamin Connor, Abigail Connor, Katherine Connor, Thomas Connor, Rebecca Ann Connor and Audrey Daming, a great greatgrandchild Emersyn Bradley, brothers Bill Daming (Janice) of St. Louis, MO and Steve Daming (Linda) of Rockport, IN, sisters Margaret Kegley of Pekin, IL and Joyce Seib of Greenfield, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harold Daming and Carlos Daming and a sister Virginia Mae Coleman.
Father Steve Giannini will conduct a Mass Of Christian Burial on Monday March 28, 2022 at 12 Noon at Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church 5901 Olive Branch Road in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Monday March 28, 2022 from 9AM until service time at the church. A private family Ennichement will take place at the Resurrection Garden at Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church.
