Robert Allen Cooper of Davenport, FL passed away on January 13, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was 75.
He was born on April 24, 1949, in Atlanta, Ga and moved to Davenport in 2007 from Douglasville, GA. Robert retired from the Ford Motor Company, after working with them for some 30 years, while he was there, he was very proud of his work on their veteran committees as well as being a union member. He was also a master cosmetologist and owned and operated Hair Affair in Douglasville. Robert also spent some time with Lockheed Martin working on the first Galaxy C5A airplane. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Later in life he enjoyed sitting on his porch enjoying a good cup of coffee or a glass of rum and coke. He will forever be remembered for his times going to the casino and "letting it ride."
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Margaret Cooper; wife, Jackie Cooper and his daughter, Angel Cooper-Morales. Robert is survived by his daughter, Bobbian Cooper; sons-in-law, Paul Morales, Sergio Reyes; siblings, Frankie Lord, Cathy Cooper, Keith Cooper and grandchildren, Destiny Cooper-Reyes, Adrianna Cooper-Reyes, Pablo Morales, Ivelisse Morales as well as 5 great grandchildren.
The visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2025, from 11 am until the funeral at 12 noon at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
