Robert Bruce Chubb, 82 of Sandyville, passed away March 17, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, following a long illness.
He was born April 28, 1939 in Detroit, MI. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He worked for Consumer Energy for 28 years and was a truck driver. He drove for the D.A.V. to the Huntington Veterans Hospital for over 15 years. He loved training and showing Tennessee Walking Horses and enjoyed traveling especially to Hilton Head, Gatlinburg, and Las Vegas. He also loved his cat "Squeaky"
He is survived by his wife Roberta "Bobbie" Chubb whom he met while training in the Schneider Truck Driving School; sons Carl (Jennifer) Chub and Chuck Chubb; sister Nancy Vulgamore; grandchildren, Jack and Prudence; special friends, Sharon Hargraves, Angela Westfall and Geary Fluharty and two very special girls who were like grandchildren to him, Kerstein Middaugh and Madison Hargraves.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Military Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard following the service. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
