Robert John Bowersox (48) of North East, MD, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. He was born in Media, PA on December 6, 1973. He was the beloved son of Jeanne Theresa (nee, Cooper) Bowersox and the late Julian Henry Bowersox and the devoted husband of Karen Ann (nee, Sulecki) Bowersox.
Robert served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps in the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. After leaving the service, Robert put his military occupational training to good use and became a master HVAC Mechanic. Robert was internationally known in the Equestrian Sports World. He was cofounder of Major League Eventing, an independent marketing group to promote the Olympic Equestrian Sport known as Three Day Eventing. He also produced a podcast by the same name. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, boating on the Chesapeake Bay and fast cars. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. His family fondly recalls his infectious laugh and outgoing demeaner that always made him the" Life of the Party." He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Karen A. Bowersox; two children: Robert Bowersox, Jr (Lauren) and Joseph Bowersox; mother, Jeanne Bowersox; brother, Kenneth Bowersox, Sr; two sisters: Donna Gallagher (Mark) and Julianne Gray (Michael); and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, 452 Bow St, Elkton, MD 21921 where family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to "Fairhill International Green to Gold" and send in care of R. T. Foard Funeral Home, P.O.
