Robert "Bob" Thomas Watson 87 of Odessa, Texas passed away on June 14, 2024.
Bob was born in Anahuac, Texas on February 1,1937 to William Franklin Watson and Hazel Watson. He attended school in Anahuac.
He worked as an Oilfield Supervisor for Lewie Montgomery Trucking Company for forty years. He loved to fish, tell jokes and spend time with family. He worked as a Crossing Guard for the Odessa School system after he retired. He was also a member of First Baptist Church Odessa.
He served in the armed services in the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughters Mickie Loonam (Dennis) of Dayton, Debbie May (Larry) of Sweetwater, Sandra Miller of Dayton and Teresa Blau (Randall) of Odessa, grandchildren Brandon Blau (Kelly), Bryan Blau (Emalee), Brady Blau (Emily), Kendall Ames (Steven), Shawn Loonam (Amanda), Joshua Loonam, Ethan Loonam, Steven May (Ashley), Mark May (Renee), Kimberly Stuart (Josh), Robert Miller, Randi Taylor (James )and 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Etta Marie Watson, both of his parents, a son, and all of his brothers and sisters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steven May, Mark May, Brandon Blau, Bryan Blau, Brady Blau, Robert Miller and Joshua Stuart.
Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 20, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers the family wishes you consider making a memorial donation to First Baptist Church Odessa in honor of Bob and Etta Watson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lamen Lusk Sanchez Nursing Home in Big Spring and Cimarron Place in Midland.
