Robert "Bob" William Sowers, 84, of Zanesville, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023.
He was born March 7, 1939, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Harold L. and Antoinette Sowers. He proudly served his country in the Ohio Army National Guard.
In 1960, Bob moved to Columbus, Ohio and met Lee and Lynn Ripley who welcomed him into their family. Bob was an electrician by trade, entrepreneur, and part owner of Yagco Inc. Bob also lived in California for 46 years. He worked on the 1976 American Freedom Train, where he met many of his life-long friends. He was an avid model train enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Sowers.
He is survived by his brother, John Sowers; nieces, Pam Ripley and Vicki (Rick) Strait-Munns; nephew, Michael (Jeanette) Ripley; friend, Chad Paxson; and his two fur babies, Addie and Runt.
Graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Mound View Cemetery Mausoleum, 307 Wooster Rd. Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
