Robert "Bob" Lee Marks, Sr., 94 of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born December 12, 1925 in Flemington, son of the John and Mary Swisher Marks.Bob is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Betty Christian Marks; four children, Candis Rivera and husband Oscar, Bridgeport, Robert "Bob" Marks Jr., Grafton, Pamela Marks, Bridgeport, and David Marks and wife Michele, Bernard, ME; four grandchildren, Amanda Rivera, Paul Marks, Ali Rivera, and Ben Barber; one brother, Tom Marks of Sykesville, MD; numerous nieces and nephews. Bob graduated from Flemington High School, Class of 1944. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He worked for the B&O Railroad as a telegraph operator, train dispatcher and moved into management in Baltimore, MD in 1963 and retired in 1982 with over forty years of service. He was a member of Bailey Memorial United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his family. Bartlett Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the cremation for the Marks family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
