Robert Bruce Blechinger, 70, of Cartersville, GA, passed away at his residence on January 24, 2024. Born in Hornell, NY, on August 7, 1953 to the late Robert "Bob" Blechinger and Alma Sanderson Blechinger.
After completing his Associates Degree, Robert dedicated his career to the profession of land surveying until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman and animal lover, Robert found solace in the tranquility of the outdoors. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, as he cherished his relationship with the Lord. His love for playing cards was only surpassed by the joy he found in the laughter and stories shared during time spent with his beloved family. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the profound impact of a life well-lived.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daniel Blechinger. Robert is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carol Blechinger; stepsons, Jason Stidams (Marcie), Jeremy Stidams (Skyler) and Samuel Stidams; step-grandchildren, Gaige Stidams, Madaline Stidams, Annabella Stidams, Trevor Stidams, Payton Rogers, Luke Rogers and Natalie Rogers; sisters, Lyn Melvin (Tom), Kim Hicks (Randy) and Karen D'Angelo; sister-in-law, Linda Blechinger; as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A private family celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date.
