Robert "Bob" Biggers, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Georgia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jean Davis Biggers, who he married on December 22, 1957. He will be remembered and cherished by his two daughters and their husbands, Shelia Biggers Sosebee (Jim) of Grayson, GA and Sharon Biggers Ellis (Chris) of Buford, GA; three grandchildren, Mallory Cook (Mic), Amanda Irwin (Tim Wade), and Robert Sosebee (Christine); sister, Mary Stubbs of Helena, AL; brother, Phillip Biggers of Marietta, GA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and associates. Mr. Biggers was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Andrew Biggers and Laura Hazel Johnson Biggers; brother, Bruce Allen Biggers; and great granddaughter, Celeste Mae Cook. Bob was born in Grayson, Georgia on August 21, 1933. He was a graduate of Grayson High School where he participated in FFA, basketball, track, and Beta Club. Mr. Biggers graduated from Georgia Tech where he received a BS in Electrical Engineering. He retired after 40 years of service as a Regional Manager with Bell South. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and member of Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church where he enjoyed the friendships of his church family, especially the Wesley Sunday School Class. Mr. Biggers enjoyed golf, walking, gardening, traveling the world during his lifetime and having coffee with his buddies at McDonald's. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and business associate. He will be remembered for his devotion to his beloved family, especially his grandchildren. He had a great love for his family and friends and his word was his bond. Rest well, good, and faithful servant. Due to the regulations for COVID-19 and the different variants, our staff is committed to taking care of the guest and family members of Mr. Biggers. We are still requesting and asking all guests and family members attending the visitation at the funeral home to please continue social distancing and wear a mask. The regulations required by the church will be followed for the service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. The Service to Honor and Celebrate the Life of Bob Biggers will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Adam Hilderbrandt officiating. Mr. Biggers will lie in state from 1:30 P.M until the hour of the service at the church. Honorary Escorts will be the Wesley Sunday School Class and his McDonald's coffee buddies. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park with Military Honors.
