Robert William Bentley, 88, died on March 2, 2021, after a period of declining health. He was born in Natick, Massachusetts, on March 26, 1932, to Norman Robert Bentley and Marion (Eaton) Bentley. He moved to Salisbury, NH, in 1936, and then to Sutton, NH, where he attended school, and later served on the fire department. He moved back to Salisbury in 1954, after discharge from the US Army, and operated the Benmour Egg Farm with his business partner, John Seymour. He served on the Salisbury police department in the 1970s, and worked at Universal Packaging in Bow for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruthann (Murrin) Bentley, son John and his wife Cheryl Bentley, daughter Heidi Stetson, son Christopher and his wife Alicia Bentley; granddaughters Annie Stetson, Molly and Kelly Bentley; brother Peter Bentley, sisters Mary Everingham and Holly Pickard. He was predeceased by his brothers Norman, Michael, Darrel, and Wendell Phillip, sisters Paula Leisinger, Gail Lavoie, and granddaughter Katie Bentley.
