Robert E. Belair (78) of Campton, NH passed away after battling Alzheimers disease and Leukemia. He was born and raised in Methuen, MA. The son of Edward A. Belair and Rose M. (McAvoy) Belair, he was an avid cyclist, runner, mountain climber and jazz music enthusiast. An accomplished musician for most of his life, he played in many bands across New England such as Brothers Kingdom, Shady Road, the Denny Day Trio, and Tin Pan Alley. He is survived by his sister, Linda (Belair) Mercier of Haverhill, MA and sadly missed by his 4 children, sons, Robert A. Belair and his wife Shelly of Newport News, VA and Marc E. Belair of Plaistow, NH, daughters Becky A. Peoples and her husband David of Atkinson, NH and Sara R. Anderson and her husband David of Thornton, NH as well as his 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Carol A. (Belair) Puga and sons Christopher P. and Adam K. Belair. The family would like to give a special thank you to Wolfeboro Bay Center and Compassus Hospice Care for their outstanding care of our father. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
