On Wednesday, April 12, Robert (“Bobby”) M. Beavers, IV passed away while engaging in one of his favorite passions, playing basketball. Bobby collapsed on the basketball court at the Lifetime Fitness Facility in Romeoville.
Despite exhaustive efforts to save Bobby, both by paramedics at the facility and at Bolingbrook Hospital just 2 miles away, those efforts were unfortunately, unsuccessful.
Bobby had recently celebrated his 25th birthday on March 1st. Bobby was a life-long resident of Naperville and was a three-sport athlete at Neuqua Valley High School, but he was primarily a football player. He went on to attend Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he was scheduled to earn a Degree in Business and Finance this summer.
He was also an avid traveler and snowboarder, enjoying adventures with family and friends domestically to; Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, Oklahoma, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Texas, Utah (probably missing some). And internationally to; Africa, Canada, China and Mexico.
And for the month of December 2022 into early January 2023, Bobby was blessed to enjoy the time of his life, with the love of his life, Aarya Malik, spending time with her and her family/extended family at their home in Dubai, as well as their homeland in India.
Bobby was treasured by his amazing friends here in Chicagoland and all over the world, along with his loving family including aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He was known for an intense spirit of love, kindness and laughter he spread wherever he went. Bobby had an amazing smile that lit up any room he entered.
Countless people have expressed shock and heartbreak at Bobby’s sudden and premature passing, with many describing what a “big heart” he had.
It was quickly determined that the preliminary cause for Bobby’s sudden cardiac arrest and death, was ironically, undiagnosed Cardiomegaly commonly known as an “enlarged heart”.
Bobby is survived by his father; Robert M. Beavers, III of Naperville, his mother; Katherine Baron nee Nguyen of Parkland, Florida, his paternal grandmother; Josephine Beavers of Oak Brook, IL, his maternal grandmother; Mrs. Yen Nguyen of Tulsa, Ok.
His late grandfathers; Robert M. Beavers Jr. and also Mr. Loi Nguyen were wonderful influences in his life. Bobby had loving aunts and uncles Monica, Dionne, Erin Brandon, Jerome and Martin, on the Beavers side, as well as Anthony, Chrissy, Lori and Steve on the Nguyen side. Ms. Vivian Limosnero and Mr. Jim Baron were also loving and guiding influences in Bobby’s life.
Celebration of Life Services were held on April 20th, 2023 at the Adolf Funeral Home in Willowbrook, Illinois.
Although the weather was alternately overcast and stormy throughout the day.
True to Bobby’s spirit of love and joy, at about 6:30 the clouds gave way to A MAGICAL DOUBLE RAINBOW topped by an ANGEL at one point, perfectly framed the building as friends and family poured outside to see it!
We will miss Bobby beyond description, but we are grateful for that divine affirmation that Bobby is safe. Bobby’s LOVE will be in our hearts forever!
