Beloved father, and uncle;
Robert A. Beaudette, 87, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday February 18, 2024, at Mission Care at Holyoke, in Holyoke, MA.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, January 21, 1937, the son of the late Albert (Joseph) and the late Josephine (Polidori) Beaudette, he attended Manchester Central High School.
He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New Hampshire and later a master's degree in Education at Rivier College.
Prior to his retirement, Robert worked as a college professor at the New Hampshire College.
He was a scholar, a world traveler, a teacher, a fighter, an activist, a poet, an animal lover and more. He traveled the world, taught at universities and colleges, and was an avid reader. Amongst his many interests, Robert enjoyed playing chess, watching football and baseball, and listening to classical music. He lived with Parkinson's for over 10 years with a zest for life.
He is survived by three daughters: Barbara O'Connell and her husband Sean of Brookline, NH, Britte Beaudette-Zlatanova, her husband Teodor, and their three children Elena, Rye, and Kira of Braintree, MA, Briana Rodrigue and her two children Chandra and Leandra of White River Junction, VT; he is also survived by a nephew Brandon Beaudette of Glennwood, CO, his wife Erin and his three children, Faith, Zachary and Connor. Linda (St.Pierre) Beaudette was his sister-in-law. His brother, James (Butch), predeceased him.
