Robert Dwayne Bainbridge, age 76 of Marion, passed away at Munson Healthcare-Cadillac Hospital on April 20, 2021 of a non- COVID death. He was born in Cadillac on July 26, 1944 to Archie and Ila (Platz) Bainbridge. He married Linda Root on Feb. 22, 1964 at the Manton Church of Christ.
He worked for a Northstar as a DHIA tech for over 37 years and had also worked at Riverside Electric in Marion. He was a member of the Michigan State Fox Hunters and the Clam River Coon Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Fishing was his most favorite thing to do. He ran a fox and coyote pen for training dogs for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Bainbridge of Marion, two daughters, Dawn (Roger) Foust of Big Rapids and Lori (Michael) Socall of Murfreesboro, TN., five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He has one brother, Keith (Wendy) Bainbridge of McBain and three sisters, Joyce Flynn of Marion, Betty Harrington of Lucas and Sue (Ralph) Henry of McBain.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, stepfather, Burl Williams, Brothers, Devere, Dale, Darrel and Donald Bainbridge and a sister, Rita Roberts. There are many nieces and nephews also surviving.
